*I knew that Black Magic Woman was not an original Santana song because it
said so on a mysterious boot that showed up at a local Boston head shop
featuring Fleetwood Mac live at the Boston Tea Party. With this new wisdom, I
eventually added all the early albums to the Archives
and was completely floored by Then Play On.
His songs, tone, timing, phrasing and vocals -
a musicians bluesman.
