HAL40 - BACK TO THE BASICS
Although we do not play Chuck himself in today's transmission (Bob Seeger does play Little Queenie and drops his name as well), Mr. Berry's picture is the best image I can think of about getting Back To The Basics. I turn to core bands and solid sounds from Paul McCartney, The Beach Boys, Ben Folds, Jeff Beck, Derek & The Dominoes, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Pretty Things, David Bowie, Syd's Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, Iggy & The Stooges, Julian Cope, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, The Monkees, Love Sculpture, The Who, and Bob Seeger with his Silver Bullet Band. BTTB but not MOR!
HAL40 is a 2 part 128k mp3 made loud to be played loud!
Part 1 is 59.8MB and 1:05:19 in length.
Part 2 is 57.3MB and 1:02:38 in length.

Hey, thanks a lot for the "Long Distance Dedication," of sorts... question is, did you enjoy that track? My sister-in-law, also a big BF fan, won tickets to go see John Mayer at the San Jose Arena last week-- she was shocked to learn AT THE CONCERT that Ben Folds was the opening act (some people are just dumb with luck...) My wife and I had thought about trying to get out for that show, but the seats available kinda stunk, and we were just getting back from out-of-state... but "s.i.l." had a blast, in spite of the ignorant folks she sat next to who paid no attention to BF, had never heard him, and talked loudly through his performance... When Ben did his cover of Dr. Dre's "Bitches Ain't Shit," I guess he got a lot of people's attention (another favorite of mine, let me know if you've never heard...) and many a "complaint form" was filled out for the venue... I think people missed the point...
Anyway, thanks again. Great stuff!!
"Mike A."
Hi Mike,
I have the BF Live CD, so I had heard Pholosphy before - I am a big fan!
Thanks for waiting! I/m glad you enjoyed the show.
Please keep in touch!

RFW great show loved the reference to the BIG THREE. But I think the MONTROSE cover of the STONES CONNECTION is so much better. Once again fantastic show. Keep rock'n!!
Maybe we can play some early Montrose on an upcoming show.
Hi Frank,
I have always loved the original - although I agree that Ronnie and Sammy nailed it on Paper Fire. Some Montrose will make it's way into a show soon!
