Transmission 13507

The Residents were obviously big fans of the four moptops and not only lovingly desecrated their famous "Meet The" cover for their own debut, they also created the ultimate Beatles song Beyond The Valley Of A Day In The Life and backed by a wonderful version of Flying, released it as the ultra-rare The Residents Play The Beatles and The Beatles Play the Residents. Even the artwork of the classic vinyl single is time-capsule great! I hope John and the lads accepted this underground badge of honor with understanding and pride, themselves leaning toward the avant-garde. Preceding the above mentioned madness you will find The Beach Boys, Crosby Stills & Nash and The Beatles from a great Lennon & McCartney single. We get stony with Ryuichi Sakamoto, The Rolling Stones, The International Submarine Band, Muddy Waters and Patto, then it's off to Babylon with the New York Dolls, Blue Cheer, Supersister and The Thievery Corporation!

T13507 is 56.6MB 128k mp3 1:01:54 in length made loud to be played loud!
