Transmission 5410

He was the eggman, a Quarryman, the dreamweaver, a Beatle, a reborn husband and father and the reluctant hero of  generations. He was killed while starting over - but he never did fade away. He would have been 70 years old today. Our walrus set includes the interview that set the record straight. Put your arms in the air for John Lennon and say goo goo ga joob!

T5410 is a 63.2mb 128k mp3 1:09:06 in length made loud to be played loud!

* For an earlier celebration of John's life and music - go back to  RFW Hal 4 - It's Johnny's Birthday which was first trasmitted on October 10, 2006.

** Although it featured John on lead vocal, "In Spite of All The Danger" by The Quarrymen is the only McCartney-Harrison composition known to have been released.

thanks ...i was one of those that gathered at the dakotaas soon as i heard the news i think i left a little bit of my 'soul' there... it was indeed childhood's end for alot of us. i often saw john&yoko stroll on the upper west side and never once thought that one day there'd be no more...yoko's done right by honoring the man in the way she's has carried herself

You are welcome John. I enjoyed putting the show together and like the way it came out. So much has been said and we have heard so much of John's music and words - it is a challenge to come up with someting fitting and fresh. I agree with your observation about Yoko - a class act.

Nice work
David, I think everyone from East Boston loves the Beatles and especially Lennon.
