Transmission 11407

We find ourselves knee-deep in the blues and the smoking Chester Burnett aka Howlin' Wolf is one of the reasons why. We get sweet with Robert Nighthawk, lose our sight with Christine Perfect & Chicken Shack, cook with Bacon Fat featuring harp legend George Smith, and work with The Butterfield Blues Band. Randy California & Spirit turn things electric with Jimi Hendrix in hot pursuit. The last set, out of the Wohlman Concert Archives, features Procol Harum live in Dallas circa 1973 and 2 ultra-rare recordings from the Maxanne Sartori show on WBCN, Boston, where I was a young studio intern. From March 18, 1973 we hear Gram Parsons & Emmy Lou Harris doing a Flying Burrito Brothers classic and from January 10, 1973 it's Bruce Springsteen and band! The blues is alive and well!

T11407 is a 63.9MB 128k mp3 1:09:48 in length made loud to be played loud!

"If you make it to your house, knock on the front door, run around to the back, you'll catch him, just before he go, that's evil, evil is goin' on"
