*Today's image comes from the collection of  parental memorabilia of Fran Bennett, one of the most talented broadcasters I have the privilege to count on my short list of close friends. It pictures her mom, who as recording star Evelyn Knight scored a number of hits including "A Little Bird Told Me" preformed with The Stardusters which topped the charts at #1 in 1949 and whose endless well of talents and beauty earned her one of the original 1500 stars on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk Of Fame. As if that was not enough premium stock in the gene-pool, Fran's dad Johnny Lehmann was one of the great song writers of his day, penning numerous hits by a variety of artists and the oh-so-cool "I Dig Chicks" recorded by The Jonah Jones Quartet in 1959!
