Transmission 1907

I love the timeless quality of music. Like a master's painting, poem, story or film - certain sounds, tunes and compositions can live on forever! Such is the case for the two guys that we spotlight on today's transmission of RFW.

Vocalist Mike Patto and guitarist/vibraphonist Peter "Ollie" Halsall were tied to the hip for the most fruitful years of their careers. From 1968 with their first band Timebox, into the 70's with Patto and ending up with the wonderful Boxer, these guys made some really great music together. Playing apart in such bands as Scaffold, Grimms, Tempest and Spooky Tooth, both proved they could make it on their own. But when together, it was real magic!

Unfortunately (for us and them), Mike passed away on March 4, 1979 of Lymphatic Leukemia and Ollie left us on May 29, 1992 when he overdosed on heroin. But they are with us today, loud and proud, on Radio Free Wohlman! RIP!

T1907 is a 58.9MB 128k mp3 1:04:24 in length made loud to be played loud!
