Transmission 10907

The end of the month brings the final letter in our Z to A May, which happens to be the first letter of the English alphabet - A. As I mention in the show, the entire concept and resulting 26 transmissions were creatively challenging and musically rewarding! I hope you enjoyed listening to them as much as much as I did recording them. Today we go to the movies with the first LP in the A section of The Wohlman Music Archives - A Clockwork Orange, get artistic with Art Zoyd, go atomic with Ash Ra Temple, and then end with awesome sounds from The Apples In Stereo, Axecraft and Alice Cooper. Amazing!

B is a very popular letter here in The Wohlman Archives. We get into The Beatles, The Beach Boys and shelf mates Johan Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven, who provide our Z to A May opening prelude and ending sonata! Along with the big aforementioned four, we do it best with Buzzcocks, Babyshambles, Boxer, Burning Spear, Buckethead, Badfinger, The Birds, The Bees, The Band, Black Sabbath, The Birthday Party and Jeff Beck. Bouncy!

*The poetic introduction is from the Three Stooges episode All The World's A Stooge. This short, released in May 1941, saw Larry, Moe and Curly wreck havoc in the dentist's office and at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Bullion, who wanted to adopt them as refugee children. That's where Curly did his famous Jolson impression.
