Tension & Release!

Transmission 614

French psychologist, lawyer and hypnotist Alfred Binet (great combo, Al) proposed that fetishes be classified as either Spiritual Love or Plastic Love. I dare you to join me as we penetrate the wet and wild world of RFW Vinyl Love. Submit to the taboo tones and tempting tempos of  Monty Python's Flying Circus, Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Randy Newman, ZZ Top, Eagles, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Grace Jones, !!!, The Tubes, Roxy Music, The Rolling Stones and Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention!

Hello, Is This Working?

Transmission 114

The move to Vermont went as smoothly as you can hope for when loading-out during a blizzard. The drive north out of Boston was treacherous, but musical. The load-in occurred during a - 9 degree deep freeze. The only casualty was the microphone pre-amp, whose tube decided that 8 years was a long enough life.

So as our hi-tech Engineering Department (Moe, Larry, Curly and me) await the delivery of a replacement, Hal and I road tested the re-wired studio, sans my voice.

Imagine me saying "Kicking off the new year in mime-mode it's Transmission 114 of Radio Free Wohlman". Enjoy the seamless sounds of Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Pink Floyd, !!!, Daft Punk, Schneider TM, Pluramon, Bruce Hack, White Noise, Cabaret Voltaire, Brian Eno & Grizzly Bear remixed by Nicholas Jarr, J. J. Burnel, Harmonia and Primal Scream!
