"you're looking all around you, but hate has made you blind, and you've spent the last 10 years of your life, in this Emergency"

*In a rare display of balls and brains, CBS Television aired an unedited documentary on the evening of 9/11/2011 that was neither exploitative or jingoistic. It was an emotional and human tribute about the emergency workers that died 10 years ago (or in the subsequent years) of injuries or toxin promoted illnesses and those that survived, albeit with emotional and physical issues that have changed or plagued their lives.

The presentation was thought provoking, skillfully produced and significant for the fact that the "powers that be" decided that language that otherwise would be unthinkable on network TV was an important part of the total package. It also displayed in a non-partisan, equally damning way, the unsympathetic and unbelievably inhuman treatment of these true American Heroes by the American Government.

The money provided by the government to help these people with their ailments will run out in 5 years and does not include coverage for cancer related illnesses, because the "official study" did not successfully connect the 911 toxins with cancer.

I can deal with hypocritical, dishonest and privileged politicians and business men. I can even accept the lack of importance of my opinion in regard to USA domestic and foreign policy, the ecological ignorance of officials that ignore the findings of the world's most brilliant minds and the rampant spread of stupidity by large segments of this country's population. But to turn our backs on these first-responders and their families is the most infuriating and embarrassing thing I have encountered in years.

A 10% wage reduction of every elected official in the US Federal Government, from the top down  - effective immediately! Give the money to these deserving people. I know - it's naive, it's not as easy as it sounds, we need to have a vote. Fuck this - it's hard because these Government Officials have no problem taking money from us, but work far too hard to give up money of their own.

$10 from every person in the United States - give it to these deserving people. Make it voluntary, even a 10% showing will get them the care that they need. I know - it's naive, it's not as easy as it sounds, we need to have a vote. Fuck this - it's hard because most people talk the talk, but fade away when it's time to put up.

I personally would like to express my gratitude, admiration, respect and love to all those - living or passed -  that displayed these acts of immeasurable courage and humanity at a time that the rest of us just stared in disbelief. I know many of you feel the same, I recommend that in some way - you  let them know!

Thanks for your ears!

Hi RFW The way the Govt has treated and is treating the first responders to 9/11 should clue you in to what happened that day. The more you drill down into it and do a bit of research the more the whole event,to quote William Burroughs, "comes apart like a rotten undervest" Two airliners totally disappeared on one day.I won't even get started on the buildings.I would really like to hear this show if could put it up again. Thanks, and best wishes.
