HAL20

Let's Spend The ___ Playing Some Records Together!

Jerry Wexler, one-time co-owner of Atlantic Records, is quoted extensively in a recent edition of Rolling Stone that pays tribute to his old partner, the late Ahmet Ertegun. The one thing that stuck in my mind is his description of Ahmet and his friends, together, playing records communally. A lost art indeed. That is what today's transmission of RFW is all about. Sitting down with great company (you and yours) and sharing music out of The Wohlman Archives. So in honor of one of the great record men and a true inspiration let the party begin!

It is with great irony that we start with Miles Davis and Weather Report on Columbia Records, but I think Ahmet would understand. We follow with music from Tool, Trans Am, Faust, The Mothers Of Invention, Crazy Elephant, Rotary Connection, The Vagrants, Aretha Franklin (there's the Atlantic smash), Bill Withers, Donny Hathaway, Kiss, The Monkees, Crack The Sky, Lyle Lovett, Bauhaus and an out of control Grace Jones!

HAL20 is a 2 Part 128k mp3 made loud to be played loud!

Part 1 is 57.07 MB and 1:03:07 in length.

Part 2 is 59.07 MB and 1:05:00 in length.
