The RFW 2020 Holiday Companion
"I Love The Holidays"
Not wanting to add to the onslaught of traditional and
overplayed classics (as wonderful as they are), I have decided on music not
necessarily about Christmas, Jesus, Santa or even Je'Santa
  (pictured above).
No matter your musical taste, sexual orientation, gender, color, church of
choice, nationality, political preference or total Humbug
attitude, you are respected here in the Archives and
encouraged to love your family and friends by
staying safe at home!
I wish you and yours a
Happy Holiday!

*When I think of my East Boston teenage friends, I think of our gang - a co-operative whole comprised of a cast of characters that I affectionately call The Usual Suspects in hundreds of stories I have recalled to you over the years - most of them true!
I got the call this week that John "Bubba" DiGirolamo passed. I've lost my parents, family members and friends - so I've dealt with the shock of death, but this was different.
It did not matter that I have not talked to most of them as much as I should - as I much as I could. They are still all a part of who I was and who I became - I love them all.
If it were a Steven Kingish movie, we all would
have shared the same dream or vision
and each would have had a task to
  accomplish.
In my case - I always get to bring the music.
The Sabbath is for you, Bubba.

"we're going to have a real cool time - tonight"
*When planning the session, I pondered 'What would be an appropriately cool theme for this high-anxiety moment in history?'. The answer was obviously hidden in the question.
The sounds continued after-hours as captured on the Two-Cool Mix!

*This Transmission and the pictured Guit-Art by my muse,

were born during a fun session in our joint-studio on this
beautiful afternoon. Each of our projects had no pre-planned starting point
and both ultimately arrived at an unexpected groovy destination by following
  our impulses and inspiration.

*I got to see VH in early 1978 on their first tour at a WBCN $1.04 night night
at the Paradise Theatre, Boston. At that time all the band had released was the
advance 12" of Running With The Devil - so we really didn't know what to
expect. I was lucky enough to see VH many times afterwards with both Dave and
Sammy. It's not that often that I get to really share with you one of my
favorite concert moments, but tonight I can. On November 6, 1993, Sammy Hagar
was a surprise guest at Neil & Peggy Young's Bridge School Benefit Concert
at Bill Graham's Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. As you can see
on the video below and the tunes in the Transmission, Sammy "conned" his
talented bandmate to join him on guitar and piano for a short set for the kids
  on stage and
22,000 fans!
We remember
